How it Works

We want you to feel like you know your puppy … even before they reach you!

To accomplish this, we like to have fun with our litter themes and post weekly pictures and videos to our website highlighting each puppy’s unique personality.

The puppies are with us for 8 weeks from the time they are born to reaching their new forever home. During this short time, we ensure that they are in a safe, well-socialized environment. We make sure they receive the care, nutrition, and love that they need to thrive!

Puppies change so much in just a few short weeks! It really is amazing. We usually see the most change from 2-4 weeks as their personality really starts to come to light. It’s a lot of fun to see.

To ensure you are a part of the fun, we will keep you frequently updated on how the pup is growing and changing throughout the 8 weeks before they are ready to go home with you.

Once it’s time for us to say goodbye, we will make travel arrangements with you to meet with us for delivery of the puppy. (Details below)

Cost

Our puppies are $4,000.

We recommend the first step to start the process is to fill out an application. From there, puppies are reserved with a $400 non-refundable deposit, which expires after 2 years. (The deposit is put towards the final price) When we receive your deposit, your name will be added to our wait-list!

We accept payment by check or PayPal (add 3% fee for PayPal). If you pay by check, the check must be cleared before your name is added to the wait-list. When you pick your puppy, the remaining $3,600 is due within 24 hours of making your choice.

Waitlist Process

We will keep those on our waitlist updated throughout the pregnancies of our mother dogs via email.

When the puppies are born, we update our website with weekly photos with the age and current weight of each puppy. Weighing them each week helps those who are picking to see which pups are the smallest/largest in the litter, as well as keeps tabs on each puppies individual health.

When they are about 3-4 weeks old, the waitlist selection process will begin!

Starting from the top of the list, each person on the waitlist will have 24 hours to either choose their new puppy, or pass until the next litter. If we don’t hear back from you within 8 hours of reaching out to notify you that it’s your turn to pick, we will assume that you choose to pass on this litter and we will pass your name to the waitlist for the next litter. The deposit is transferable to future litters for up to 2 years.

Husker Doodles reserves the first pick of each litter. If we don’t utilize our option to keep first pick, pick of the litter will be available for adoption for $7,000. We give our waitlisted people first “dibs” on first pick, but if they all pass on this option, our top pick will be available to the public for $7,000.

Delivery & Pick-up Options

We’ve delivered puppies to 38 states and 7 countries … You can bet we will find a way to get the puppy to you! (See all of our Puppies!)

We offer a few different options for delivery.

Airline Delivery:

We do not ship our puppies in cargo. We fly with our puppies in-cabin and meet at an airport near you! We fly out of Grand Island, Nebraska on American Airlines. The delivery fee is the cost of a round trip plane ticket (prices vary), the cost to bring a pet on board ($125), the cost to choose our seats on the plane to ensure we are able to take the flight in the case that it gets overbooked (prices vary), and a $250 delivery fee, which covers food, hotel, other travel costs, and our time.

Delivery by Car:

Depending on where you are located, we could potentially bring your puppy to your front door! Travel fees will vary.

Local Pickup:

You are also more than welcome to come to Husker Doodles to pick up your puppy yourself! We are located pretty much right in the center of the United States in Chapman, Nebraska.

International Delivery:
